Rehabilitation often focuses on Physical therapy to help your strength, mobility and fitness especially after an injury. Occupational therapy is to help you with your daily activities. Speech-language therapy to help with speaking, understanding, reading, writing and swallowing, treatment of pain etc. The purpose of rehabilitation is to restore some or all of the patient's physical and mental capabilities that were lost due to injury, illness, or disease. Rehabilitation includes assisting the patient to compensate for deficits that cannot be reversed medically. CWC rehabilitation program focuses on Physical rehabilitation where health care professionals such as doctors implement treatment modalities designed to help clients (focus here is more on athletes) recovering from accidents, injuries or disease regain their strength and range of motion. Drug rehabilitation (often drug rehab or rehab) where medical and psycho-therapeutic treatment is set up, for dependency on psychoactive substances such as alcohol, cocaine, heroin or amphetamines as well as prescription drugs. CWC specialists shall provide vocational counseling, interventions using various counseling techniques, rehabilitation services on a community based level, case management, research, assessment, and professional advocacy for clients with disabilities.
